Our story is built on a sincere desire to help law enforcement respond more quickly, and to provide extra protection for schools, churches, and government buildings — and their occupants.
The story of Trinity Gunshot Alarm starts with a schoolteacher in the small Wisconsin town of Baraboo…
Humble Roots…Global Aspirations
Stacy Jax has spent significant time in schools as a parent helper, educational assistant, and ultimately, an elementary school teacher. With a first grade daughter at the time, the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy completely shook Stacy’s world. This event initiated her desire to offer a cost effective, accurate, life-saving method to facilitate instant, multi-level, comprehensive communications in the event of an active shooter incident.
Envisioning access to specific, immediate information that could be shared with emergency responders, building occupants, and administrators led to the concept of an alarm system – but not just any alarm system. A system that would function like a fire alarm but in response to gunshots rather than smoke. Realizing that instant, widespread communication of this extreme danger could save lives, it became her mission to deliver such a product, and Trinity Gunshot Alarm System was born.
Our mission is to provide specialized security equipment that accurately detects the sound of a gunshot and instantaneously notifies building occupants and emergency responders with critical information that allows for a faster, more efficient, unified response to the threat of a firearm.
To have widespread acceptance and adoption of gunshot detection systems as part of standard security equipment. We strive to put a human face on gunshot detection, and move conversations around these systems into the public discourse.
Trinity is dedicated to the lives taken or affected by active-shooter incidents, and to the heroes who helped make a difference. In their honor, we promise to donate 2% of profits to charitable organizations supporting this effort.
